APTwater, Inc. Holds First Tech Summit in 2010 Series, Showcases Advances in In-Situ AOP Solutions
01.28.2010
PRESS RELEASE APTwater, Inc. kicked-off 2010 with the first event in their continuing “Technology Summit” series on January 13th in Irvine, CA. The half-day event was attended by over 35 engineers, geologists and environmental professionals representing 20 firms and agencies in and around southern California. This year’s first Tech Summit focused on the design and application of the company’s PulseOx® in-situ Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) remediation technologies, followed by an overview of APTwater’s HiPOx® ex-situ AOP. An outline of the environmental permitting process for sites using in-situ chemical oxidation was presented by Mr. G. Jeffrey Hu, P.E., of California EPA’s State Water Resources Control Board, Los Angeles (RWQCB Region 4). The biggest news was APTwater’s official debut of its PulseOx In-Well Reactor (IWR) technology for soil and groundwater remediation. The company’s breakthrough IWR technology allows for existing wells to continuously inject and recirculate ozone, hydrogen peroxide, and/or oxygen-enriched air into the groundwater. Soil and groundwater contaminants are effectively destroyed via powerful hydroxyl radical-based chemical oxidation, which is up to 1-billion times faster than conventional ozone treatment and completely destroys organic contaminants to dissolved CO2 and H2O. By converting existing wells, IWR system installation costs are 20-50% less than at conventional in-situ sites, saving clients substantial time and money. To read more click here
